Bob Grier began his rugby career at UC Davis, playing flyhalf for the Aggies over 4 plus seasons.  He continued his career at the Men's Club level here in the Bay Area with the BATS (Bay Area Touring Side).  Bob moved to the Wing with the BATS and played 5 years with them, competing in both 15's and 7's, before retiring from an active rugby career to help raise his family.  Bob has been a certified coach with the Danville Oaks for the past 8 years at the Middle School, JV and Varsity levels.

Bob believes that a coach's responsibility is to provide a positive, safe and fun atmosphere where young athletes can learn how to develop as a person and athletically while enjoying the great sport of rugby.
