Erich Friess  began playing rugby in 1983 at Miami University, followed by 4 varsity seasons at McGill University in Montreal. Over the past 30+ years, Erich has played for men's club teams in Phoenix, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle and Tokyo.  He is currently playing ad hoc vets rugby for the Olympic Club and the California Bald Eagles. Erich started coaching with the Oaks in 2011. During his time with the club, he has been involved with the JV, U14and U12 programs. Fun fact- Erich has played matches in 21 countries and 24 states.
