Mike Walker has spent over a decade coaching Youth, Middle School and High School teams with the Danville Oaks, as both a head coach and assistant coach.  Off the field, Mike previously served as President of the Danville Oaks for six years.  Mike enjoys providing youth with fun and safe opportunities for personal development, as well as promoting values of teamwork and community.

In his 20+ years of playing rugby, Mike played 15s and 7s for San Francisco Golden Gate in the Rugby Super League, the Sacramento Capitols, and Western Suburbs. Mike also played vets rugby for the Seῇors and California Bald Eagles.  His career included appearances at the Rugby Super League Play-Offs, the USA Rugby 7s National Club Championships, and representing the Northern California Pelicans in territorial tournaments.  Before rugby, Mike played Division 1 college football earning Academic All Big Ten Honors.
