U12 & MS Boys teams are now at capacity

Unfortunately, Rugby NorCal does not offer U8 summer tournaments.

Game times will be posted in SportsEngine by coaches on Thursday or Friday before the tournament.

Who can play Sevens?

• Anyone, no rugby experience necessary!
• Girls and boys, ages 8 – 18
• Teams:  
  • U10 – Coed Tackle
  • U12 – Coed Tackle
  • Girls Middle School Tackle
  • Boys Middle School Tackle
  • Girls Varsity Tackle
  • Boys JV & Varsity Tackle

When does the Summer Sevens season begin?

• U10, U12 and MS practices start June 9th and run through mid-July.
• HS practices will start in mid-June.
• Practices will take place in Danville at Osage Park, Field #6 (near the tennis courts and Charlotte Wood MS).

When are the games? 

Tournaments are held on either Saturdays or Sundays in June and July, usually for a two-hour block between 9am and 3pm, depending on each grade.

Sevens Rugby Tournament Format

• Three or four matches per team, per tournament day
• Seven players per team
• 14-minute matches played on regular-size pitch
• Tackle rugby is played in all age groups
• Tournament attendees include a number of youth rugby clubs in Northern California
